Summary This is an orientation-tuned spiking unit. It
consists of a space-time oriented Gabor filter (shown below with
vertical orientation) and a conductance-driven integrate-and-fire
spike generator. This simple model captures some of the tuning
properties of a sustained-firing macaque V1 simple cell. This model
is similar to Gabor.0.0, except that model uses Poisson spike
generation instead of integrate-and-fire.
Results
The results here were obtained using this
response file, which records spikes from a unit near the center of
the stimulus grid.

Discussion
The integrate-and-fire spike generating mechanism used here makes this
model more complicated than Gabor.0.0, for example, a
refractory period is evident in the ISI distribution. A major
limitation is the lack of adaptation to luminance and contrast.
