Summary This is a spatially half-size, temporally
quarter-size variant of the standard GaborME.0.0 model. The spatial Gabor
filter was constructed using a Gaussian SD that is 1/2 as wide and a
spatial frequency that is double that of the standard model. The
temporal Gabor filter was constructed using a Gaussian SD that is one
quarter as long and a temporal frequency that is four times that of
the standard model.
Results
Results are similar to those for GaborME.0.0, except that the peak of
the SF tuning curves is one octave higher, and that of the TF tuning
curve is two octaves higher.
Discussion
The gain before the Poisson spike generation is set to 16 times that
of the standard model, to account for the factor of two shrinkage of
the linear filter in two spatial dimensions and the quartering of the
temporal dimension. The RF is small at the spatial resolution of the
model (0.1 deg/pix), but is well within the Nyquist limit.
