Ret_Wav_FBARS

Each amacrine unit within a rectangular sheet (upper layer) sends excitatory input to all neighbors (green ovals) within a prescribed radius and to RGC units (red ovals, lower layer) within a specified radius. An amacrine unit may become active spontaneously or because of lateral excitation from nearby neighbors. There is no feedback from the RGC layer.
