sta "ars"
Adaptive rate scaling, for RVS (response vs. stimulus) plots.Parameter definitions:
Default values are shown in ( )'s.
- rvs_start - (start) - window start for accumulating RVS points
- rvs_period - (period) - window period for accumulating RVS points
- sigma - (0.0) SD of Gaussian that convolves the STA, for smoothing.
- rvs_sta_file - (NULL) Read the STA from the named file.
- rvs_sta_rect - (0) set to 1 to suppress (zero) all values outside tallest positive peak.
- rvs_norm_stim - (0 default)
- 0 - no normalization
- 1 - normalize stimulus axis (x-axis)
- 2 - normalize STA-convolved input to have save variance as original input.
- 3 - normalize STA area to 1
- rvs_norm_resp - (0) set to 1 to normalize (divide by mean) response axis (y-axis)
- rvs_sd - (0) 1-dump Std. Dev. and number of points, not xplot.
- rvs_all - (0) 1-dump individual RVS points as (bin,response); 2-dump as (stim,response).
- rvs_bayes - (0) set to 1 to use the Bayes method.
- rvs_stim_param - ("maxj") name of the parameter that controls the stimulus amplitude.
- rvs_stim_param_scale - (1.0) multiplier for the stimulus amplitude
- rvs_toff - (0) time offset of response averaging window (sampling units)
- rvs_tn - (10) time duration of response averaging window (sampling units)
- rvs_gauss_win - (0.0) if non-zero, will use as SD for Gaussian window for response computation.
- rvs_st0 - (0) time in stimulus to begin processing, could be used to skip beginning of stimulus sequence (sampling units)
- rvs_nbin - (40) number of bins on stimulus axis (x-axis)
- rvs_min_n - (50) minimum samples per bin
- rvs_write_n - (0) set to 1 to write the counts per bin
WARNING: for the next two options, no checking is done for beginning or end of the stimulus sequence, thus plotting could over-run arrays. The name of the dumpfile will be "zzz.rvs.dump.pl"
- rvs_dump_rs_nbin - (0) dump response/stim for this many high bins
- rvs_dump_rs_val - (0.0) dump response/stim for this stim value
Conditional RVS analysis
- rvs_cond_win0 - start time of condition window (e.g. -100 before response)
- rvs_cond_winn - duration of condition window
- rvs_cond_auto - (-1.0) set to a fraction of data points to achieve (e.g. 0.01).
- rvs_cond_data - ("conv") Use "conv" to condition on stim convolved w/ STA. Use "stim" to condition on the raw stimulus.
- rvs_cond_type - Type of condition to apply in window
- range - all values in window must be between "rvs_cond_vlo" and "rvs_cond_vhi".
- x_range - some value in window must exceed range.
- val_min/max - no value above (min) or below (max) rvs_cond_vcrit.
- avg_min/max - average value in window...
- sd_min/max - SD of values in window...
- var_min/max - Variance of values in window...
- sqr_avg_min/max - average of square values (average power).
- abs_val_avg_min/max - average of absolute values.
- rvs_cond_vcrit - for min/max conditions
- rvs_cond_vlo - for range/x_range conditions, or auto
- rvs_cond_vhi - for range/x_range conditions, or auto
