Multiple spatiotemporal frequency (STF) pattern cell


This MT pattern cell model combines V1-like direction selective signals from multiple spatial frequency (SF) and temporal frequency (TF) channels to create MT units. It is inspired by the models of Heeger (1987) and Simoncelli and Heeger (1998). Electrophysiological tests of this type of model include the work of Nishimoto and Gallant (2011) and Inagaki et al (2016). This model includes a weighting scheme proposed by Quaia et al. (2016).
